Kentucky Tenant Rights Guide
Security deposits, eviction laws, rent control, and tenant protections in Kentucky
📋
Kentucky's Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (KRS § 383.010 et seq.) applies to Louisville, Lexington, and cities of the first and second class. In URLTA jurisdictions, landlords must give 24 hours notice before entry and tenants have repair-and-deduct rights. In non-URLTA counties, common law governs with fewer protections. No statewide rent control exists.
